My name is Nadia Roldan.  I am a high school art teacher and artist.  I have been creating Mizzles for 3 years.  Originally this project was suppose to be for a completely different purpose, but I fell in love with my creations.  I was at the Pasadena Museum of California Art for the Beyond Ultraman: Seven Artists Explore the Vinyl Frontier exhibit and I was hit with inspiration.  I immediately began sketching, drawing, and painting the creatures I created from simple socks.  And soon, the world of the Mizzles began to form.  I have been working on a children's book about the Mizzles and their adventures for almost 2 years.  Currently, I'm working on my Masters in Education: Integrated Teaching Through the Arts. 

I am a bit unusual.  I am a big kid still.  I love toys and using my imagination.  My favorite quote is from Jim Henson: "The most sophisticated people I know-- inside they're all children."
